My Fresh Blog

This posting is me redefining the blog. It’s me defining my blog. Before, I didn’t know how to write a blog. I knew how to write, but I didn’t know the main ingredients.. Why to write a blog and to whom I should write. Defining your audience and defining your purpose are paramount when it comes to anything creative. I’ve been creating my art with these principles but I wasn’t writing with them. So here’s my declaration of the new TaylorGallegos.com blog.

I’m writing to artists, professional and otherwise, past, present and future. I’m writing to gallery owners. I’m writing to art collectors. I’m writing to those who have followed my work from the beginning and those who are encountering me for the first time. I’m writing to the artwork of the past, the artwork of the present and the artwork of the future. I’m writing to myself.

This blog is written to create artistic conversation. It’s written to inspire artistic thought. It’s written to document my progression as an artist and as a person. I am chasing the greatness that resides inside of myself (and resides in all of us) and I’m writing about my progression as I go along. I believe that I have the potential to be in the history books at the end of my life and I’m documenting my trials, tribulations, failures and successes. I’m writing to be real. I’m writing to be honest. I’m writing to be an artist.
