The Business of Art

Art is my life and my livelihood. We live in a time and place where capitalism and finances are the invisible structures that shape our physical world. I’m learning about the ins and outs of these things. In art school they teach you how to draw, paint, sculpt or whatever else you want to learn but there’s very little emphasis on what it actually takes to make it as an artist in this reality. The business of an artist is a choose your own adventure and what works for one wont necessarily work for another. We are creatures of a niche. I’m finding my niche.

Live Wedding Art is my niche. I paint live at weddings, creating a painting of people’s most special day. Clients are left with a one of a kind original piece of art to hang on their wall.
