MURALS

THE HUMBLE BEGINNING

A mural is a permanent work of art on an interior or exterior wall and it has the potential to transform a space. When murals are done right, they can make a beautiful positive impact on people’s experiences of a location or room.  Taylor created his first mural just out of college for a local restaurant.  He, and the owners were thrilled with the outcome.  They then commissioned him to create art for the interiors of all of their locations.  At that early point, he realized that mural creation was the perfect form of artistic expression for his skillset.  Now, with over 10 years of experience creating custom murals and large-scale art, Taylor has a different way of viewing a blank wall…a future mural site!

LARGE-SCALE ART

Taylor’s art is about the ways that humans connect. Every painting is an effort to find common ground with the viewer. Whether it be through light and shadow, color, or the message in the work, the focus is commonalities. Artwork transcends borders, skin color, and material differences. It can be a tool for Good, and that’s his aim for every mural. Murals are a great way to create a powerful impact on people, on both conscious and subconscious levels, so they are perfect for clients looking to inspire those around them.

Taylor can paint anywhere in a variety of styles.

WHAT IT'S LIKE TO WORK WITH TAYLOR

Taylor works closely with his clients, going back and forth on their concepts and imagery so that what’s left is a work of art that is absolutely loved. The process begins with an idea, builds to a concept sketch, is laid out on the wall, and then brought to life in color.  He has worked with many types of clients from business owners looking to beautify their restaurants, offices and exteriors of their buildings to families looking to make a beautiful environment for their kids to grow up in.

Taylor only uses top-quality paints and materials, designed to handle extreme weather conditions.  He is experienced with UV protectant clear coating, to ensure the longevity of his work.  He has experience working on lifts, ladders, and scaffolding and carries a C33 Specialty Painter’s Contractor’s License in the State of California.  Because every work of large-scale art is unique, he doesn’t have a one size fits all approach.  His process is built upon his vast education and years of experience, but every customer and every piece of art receives a personalized project approach from inception to the final product.
